My name is Chris Williams, and I love to cook.
I also love good food, and believe that the food we eat is hugely important to our overall health. Even "fun foods" like desserts are healthier when prepared at home... and much better tasting and cheaper as well.
My goal is to share home cooking with people who would like to cook at home, but don't have the time to spend all day preparing a meal. Maybe you are one of those people who - like me - ate a great deal of convenience food as a child, or maybe you missed out on learning to cook altogether. In a "You Can Cook" class, there are no dumb questions. You will find a warm, friendly, and supportive environment where you will learn fresh, simple dishes that you can make over and over again.
I've met more than a few people who claim "I can't cook! I can't even boil water!" But here's a secret: in order to be a good cook, you only need to be able to make a few dishes and make them well. And when it comes to cooking, knowledge is power. Once you've mastered a small number of dishes, you will realize that you can use the same tricks, tips, and techniques over and over to make delicious food any time you have 15 or 30 minutes to spare.
There is a role - maybe even a large role - for prepared food in out homes and lives, but wouldn't it be great to have a simple alternative? If you join a "You Can Cook" class. you will lean to make food that is healthy, tasty and REAL.
